"After successful surgery and sessions of chemotherapy, I lost my mum to stage 3 colon cancer in 2016.
It was a battle for me to understand how treatment was certified successful, yet she was given only two months to live.
This was a wake up call for me.
Ever since then, knowing and understanding my body has never been as important to me as it is now. The truth is, our bodies have always had a way of communicating to us and most times we are either too busy to stop and check, or we generally just ignore it and tend to "manage" the situation.
Now, I never take for granted a headache, slight pain, fatigue, or any other symptom, especially if it persists for more than 24 hours. Early detection offers a much better survival rate of any health challenge.
I implore everyone out there to take out time and listen to their bodies.
You might just save your life" -------
