#sciencesundayEver heard of space weather? From time to time, the Sun is emitting a massive burst of charged particles which could harm satellites and terrestrial infrastructure. Several space agencies are currently studying missions to provide timely warning of solar storms, including the European Space Agency. Stay tuned for news on these missions! 🌞🌐🌎If you are curious about the energetics of this planet, the sun, and space, I highly recommend Suspicious0bservers, spelled with a zero as the O. The founder Ben Davidson provides all sorts of unbiased information on the electromagnetic developments on and around Earth. He's a huge proponent for the Electric Universe model of the universe. He makes a daily space weather video and shows how activity from the sun and space effect the planet very directly. 🌞🌐🌏 ••• #suspicious0bservers #electricuniverse #zeropointenergy #freeenergy #energy #matter #cosmos #universe #galaxy #solarsystem #sun #earth #astronomy #science #spaceweather #cme #solarflare #earthquake #lightworker #youtube #solarwind #northernlights #helpful #needed

A shot from January 2015. It's -1C, overcast and lightly snowing right now with a freezing rain warning in effect for tonight. It should be -40C, I'm not complaining but I'm concerned. #latergram #aurora #auroraborealis #northernlights #nightsky #thompson #manitoba #january2015 #spaceweather #nightphotography #canonphotography #canon60d

@Regrann from @nasa - Magnetic arcs of plasma that spiraled above two active regions held their shape fairly well over 18 hours (Jan. 11-12). The charged plasma is being controlled the magnetic field lines of the active regions. The field lines become clearly visible when viewed in this wavelength of extreme ultraviolet light. Often the arches bend and twist more dynamically than the relatively stable ones seen here. One of my favourite aurora shots. This was taken in 2014 when a good mate came out to visit. It was his first aurora and first time in Norway. It was actually quite a remarkable storm for Hemsedal which is pretty far south in Norway. The low fog on the lake was settling heavily on my lenses which had to be cleaned every 30s. Enough time for two shots between cleans :) #auroraborealis #nordlys #northernlights #norway #norge #aurora #hemsedal #spaceweather #science #ifls #iflscience #cloudporn #earth #earthcapture #artistfound #bbcearth #norway🇳🇴

A throwback to 2014 when i captured my first aurora on camera. Was something I will never forget and love that I can photograph this not too far from home. #aurora #aurorahunters #auroraborealis #northernlights #ladyaurora #nightsky #astrophotography #spaceweather #canonrebelt4i #exploreontario🇨🇦 #discoverontario #discoveron #midlataurora #canoncanada

Since it's raining in tonight after dropping to -50 last week, I've been editing photos. Lightroom edits brought this photo also taken March 17, 2015 from overexposed to something I felt worth sharing 😊 Still learning! #latergram #aurora #auroraborealis #northernlights #corona #nightsky #geomagneticstorm #paintlake #manitoba #canon60d #tokina #tokina1116 #spaceweather #march172015 #nightphotography #canonphotography

#repost@nasa This elongated coronal hole rotated across the surface of the sun this past week so that it is now streaming solar wind towards Earth. Coronal holes are areas of open magnetic field from which solar wind particles stream into space. The particle stream will likely generate aurora here on Earth. In this wavelength of extreme ultraviolet light, the coronal hole appears as a dark area near the center and lower portion of the sun.
