.:Timber Mountain:. Peak 6/6
Descending was no fun, until we ran into @trashfreeearth crew heading up to Telegraph Peak. Chit chat a tad bit, hit the trail jack. Back to the no fun part, ascend up to Timber.
Coming up on 11hrs on the trail, trying to function on zero sleep. this fool is tired AF.
In conclusion, the remaining 5 peaks would have taken an additional 6-7 hrs to complete, ending up between 10pm-midnight depending on pace. Which by the way, was not getting any faster.
I was tempted to keep hitting a few more peaks with Chad (@life_is_goodoutdoors) and Heather (@mermaidlife_outdoors), as they continued with the sufferfest, such beasty fools 😊 but even if I wanted to, I was close to exhaustion and my knees where already in pain.
All matters taken into consideration (mainly lack of sleep), I followed the rest of the crowd as they decided to call it a day.
Heading back down past Icehouse Saddle, no regrets. My only goal was to get out, have fun, and take on a challenge. Checked. And, fuckkkkk, was I challenged.
Do I feel defeated? NOPE.
Already at the parking lot, a little over 20 miles later, about 8,300 ft gained, I was satisfied to have made it that far with a group of bad asses.
A challenge I perhaps was not fullly ready for, but plan on finishing. Let the training begin, to complete all 11. I will be back.
Big Thanks to @trvrsapparel and @adventurela for organizing this #foolstraverseevent. It was all I expected and more.
All you FOOLs who were out there hitting peaks left and right, congrats 🤘🏽😎 #foolstraverse #trashfreeearth #pushforthepeak #staywild #stayfool #wegotfooled #discoveryourworld
