@Regrann from @susiesseniordogs: (near) OMAHA, NE: 7 year old Star has been meeting-and-greeting visitors to the shelter for the entire last year. Over the last 12 months, many other dogs at her shelter have found homes and walked out the doors with their new family. But Star still hasn't had her own shining moment. She was featured on SSD two weeks ago but happy Star still remains at the shelter. PLEASE SHARE!! Central Nebraska Humane Society wrote, "Last year we had an adopted dog named Star returned to us because her love for their chickens began to cause issues and ultimately her family decided it would be best if she found another place to call home.
Star is beyond wonderful with people (men, women and children) and is in search of a forever home where she can be the one and only pet. She has got to be one of the most people oriented dogs I have ever met! When she is around you, you are her world. She strives to give you all the attention and love she can, not even another pup could distract her! It truly guts me to see her sweet, greying face waiting in the kennels each day.
While we do not have a time limit, Star is getting more and more depressed the longer she stays in her kennel. We have promoted her a number of ways and across our social media platforms throughout the last year with no luck. My heart just breaks watching her muzzle get more and more grey the longer she is here.
Star has waited far too long for her second chance, but you can help! If you have a pet-free home and are looking for a loving, life-long protector, please come meet her. Take her for a walk, and by the end of your visit she will have stolen your heart! If you can’t adopt, please like, comment, and SHARE this post!"
