View kjb0419's Instagram Today was a great day! Not only did we get to swim with wild dolphins, but we also got to go to the top of the tallest mountain in the world (base to peak). Photos don't even do it justice...still learning to take night picture 😬

View sciencecentresg's Instagram For centuries, we have been using the same instrument to look at the stars. So how do telescopes work?

Swing by The Observatory on Friday nights to find out how and enjoy the best view of the constellations in the northern and southern celestial at one of the major observatories in the world that is located next to the Equator! ;) #Next40 #ScienceCentreSG 1523083887064290825_230366056

View deepskydad's Instagram Photo of a recent Type II-P supernova SN 2017eaw in galaxy NGC6946, taken in average conditions. Marked with red square just below and a bit to the right of galactic core. Don't let "recent" fool you - this galaxy lies 22 million light years from earth, so this star died quite "a while" ago. After initial brightness peak, the luminosity of II-P supernovae stays relatively constant for several months, so make sure you catch in on your sensor 😉

View metrolinaszabi's Instagram ISS last night from London

Summer is full on in London, which means amazing sky with no clouds at all. We had four passes during the night, two directly over head. But couldn't stay up longer than the first one, which climbed "only" about 67° of elevation.
Same settings were used as at a previous shot, but I think this time the brightness was at mag -4.0 instead of mag -3.4, so some parts are slightly overexposed.
But still managed to mark a few components and features on the station.
I believe Canadarm 2 is visible too, yesterday they were practicing berthing with the robotic arm, soon Dragon cargo vehicle will be launched (2nd June I think). #ISS #spacestation #space #universe #astronomy #astrophotography #spotthestation #skyatnight #astronomynow #chrishadfield #orbit #skywatcher #dobsonian #telescope #zwo #asi #camera #televue #london #jackfischer #peggywhitson #thom_astro #esa #nasa #spacedotcom #streetastronomy #canadarm2 #yourESA 1523052785266911699_4827500055

View atheistastronomer's Instagram "Stating life does not exist anywhere but on Earth is like scooping a glass of water from the ocean and saying there are no whales..." The BARC TACTIC Gamma Ray Observatory was amazing. It was the first time I visited a Gamma ray facility (It was last major spectrum Observatory left in my checklist). The audio is even worse in this one and well the projection is close to invisible but still bleh

PS- All the three cups of coffee on the table were mine 😂
